1. Favorite event/race:
Some of
my favorite races are the Debbie Kohl Race, all of
the invitationals in
Virginia and North Carolina,
and Nationals. |
|
2. How/Why did you start racing?:
My mom used to
work at the rink, and she would have to stay after
session is over to
clean up and I would watch the
speed skaters. I looked really fun, so I joined the
team. |
|
3. Who do you most look up to in the
skating world? Why?: I
look up to a lot of people in the skating world, but
mostly I look up
to the skaters on our team because
it is really inspiring to see how much better
everyone gets in just a few months
and it makes me
want to get better too. |
|
4. Goals for the 2007-2008 season:
My main focus
right now is skating, so my goal for now is to do
well at the league meets.
After the league meets are
over, my main goal is to hopefully make it to the
semis and finals at nationals.
I also want to train
and do well at all of the outdoor races. I want to
do well in school as well and keep my grades up.
I
also will hopefully make the high school
cheerleading squad. |
|
5. Other Hobbies:
Cheerleading
is another big hobby of mine. Cheerleading
definitely keeps me in shape, and when I
am not
skating, I'm cheering. I compete in competitions
for cheerleading as well. I hope to make the Freedom
Varsity
Cheerleading Squad. I also play clarinet in
my school's concert band and orchestra, and I am a
silk (flag) twirler for marching band. |

6. Favorite Quote:
"Life is not measured by the
breaths we take, but by the moments that take our
breath away."
